Opportunity Overview
The Senior Director, International Market Access will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive market access strategies to ensure optimal pricing, reimbursement, and patient access across global markets outside of the United States and Canada. This role requires a dynamic leader with deep expertise in global market access, pricing strategies, health economics, and reimbursement frameworks. The ideal candidate will have experience in launching and sustaining innovative therapies in diverse international markets, particularly in Europe, Middle-East and Asia-Pacific.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Lead Reimbursement & Pricing Activities:
    • Drive reimbursement strategies for approved indications, ensuring alignment with the broader International Market Access and pricing strategy.
    • Oversee the development of comprehensive reimbursement dossiers tailored to local market needs.
    • Partner closely with local General Managers to ensure timely and favorable reimbursement outcomes, minimizing delays and restrictions for patients.
    • Provide guidance and support to local teams to navigate country-specific reimbursement challenges.
    • Co-lead and support pricing negotiations with payers, aiming to secure optimal outcomes for the company.
    • Explore and implement paid early access programs where feasible, maximizing patient access to treatments.
    • Lead internal teams to ensure Commercial, Medical and Marketing are aligned with timing and requirements in each country
  • Contribute to Global and International Market Access Strategy:
    • Assist in crafting the Global and International Market Access strategies for new indications, including the development of Global Value Dossiers (GVD) and payer value messages.
    • Shape the evidence generation framework to effectively communicate value to payers.
  • Provide strategic input across the organization:
    • Offer strategic insights on payers and Health Technology Assessment (HTA) requirements, influencing Target Product Profiles (TPPs) and clinical development programs.
    • Advise and educate cross-functional teams on how to meet the evolving needs of payers, integrating market access perspectives into the drug development process.
  • Develop Value Demonstration Tools:
    • Lead the creation of new tools and analyses to support and demonstrate the clinical and economic value of IMCIVREE and other pipeline products.
    • Collaborate with the Value & Evidence team to leverage data from Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs), caregiver surveys, and other sources.
  • Cultivate a Market Access Culture:
    • Drive the continued development of a "Market Access culture" within the organization, fostering awareness and understanding across all teams.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in International or Global Market Access roles within the biopharmaceutical or biotech industry.
    • Proven success in negotiating pricing and reimbursement for innovative therapies with payers across multiple countries.
    • Extensive experience in early market access, including early payer engagement, evidence generation strategy, and collaboration with R&D and clinical teams to influence TPPs and clinical development programs.
  • Specialized Expertise:
    • Experience with Market Access in rare diseases and in early access programs.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage vendors for reimbursement dossier development across multiple countries.
    • Experience of working across Clinical, Biostats, Regulatory, Medical, Marketing and Commercial.
  • Skills:
    • Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and collaboration skills, with a track record of driving successful market access initiatives.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment, managing multiple projects and priorities
    • Capable of driving high-level strategy while remaining willing and eager to engage in hands-on execution.
