Opportunity Overview

As a member of the Rhythm GSA field-based team you will be working within the field of Rare MC4R pathway diseases. The Hospital Affairs Lead (HAL) will own sales responsibility for our product in Switzerland across its approved indications, works collaboratively within the national team, aligned with the medical team, and being responsible for implementing the commercial tactical and engagement plans.  


Responsibilities and Duties
  • National sales responsibility for our product in POMC-, PCSK1-, LEPR-Deficiency, Bardet-Biedl Syndrome and future indications once approved
  • Deliver growth in line with expectations for the Swiss Affiliate
  • Support development and expansion of comprehensive care centers and patient support programs
  • Facilitate referral pathways between peripheral sites and prescribing centers (hub and spoke model)
  • Lead an omnichannel HCP approach relevant for customer segmentation and individual customer preferences/objectives.
  • Develop strong partnerships with key experts and multidisciplinary stakeholders
  • Be accountable for using CRM system for business planning
  • Challenge current practice to deliver the best outcomes for patients
  • Able to discuss benefits of clinical data to improve the lives of patients (in line with license indication), creating strong product advocacy
  • Thorough knowledge of national policy and partner to identify opportunities for optimal patient management and revenue growth
  • Identify and give input into key projects as part of project team, e.g. national meetings
  • Collect and share customer and environmental insights to attain optimal patient management
  • Lead regional and national conferences and best in class local educational meetings
  • Regularly performs market, customer & competitor analysis/observation
  • Drive HCP opt-in collection and secures timely documentation of events
  • Act as local customer contact for distribution
  • Lead the planning (e.g. account plans), tracking and reporting process for the territory
  • Ensure adherence with compliance, ethics, and general law

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Academic degree (science or economy), PhD is a plus
  • > 5 years sales experience (thereof 3+ years in rare diseases) with a documented tangible track record in pharma/biotech industry in Switzerland
  • Orphan/specialty experience recommended
  • Experience with building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders (HCPs, specialist nurses, payors, multi-disciplinary teams)
  • Sound experience in facilitating referral pathways
  • Proven experience in executing successful product launches
  • Experience and track record in use of IT based/virtual customer interaction and promotional tools
  • Experience in site specific project management
  • Commercial acumen and financially savvy
  • Ability to identify opportunities, manage complexity and priorities and liaise, influence internally to ‘make it happen’ whilst being comfortable working with uncertainty
  • Not accepting the status quo, working with a sense of urgency to deliver results
  • Strong team player with can-do-mentality fostering integrity and a collaborative approach
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - fluent in German (knowledge of French and Italian are a plus) and in verbal and written English

This role is field-based in Switzerland. Candidates applying must be willing and able to travel.
