Opportunity Overview
The BBS Country Operations Lead is responsible for developing the Bardet-Biedl syndrome (BBS) community, including improving early diagnosis and establishing a strong care pathway, according to the compliance law. He/she will be responsible for building peer to peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other stakeholders, working in closed collaboration with the commercial and medical team.

The BBS Country Operations Lead is responsible for developing the Bardet-Biedl syndrome (BBS) community, including improving early diagnosis and establishing a strong care pathway, according to the compliance law. He/she will be responsible for building peer to peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other stakeholders, working in closed collaboration with the commercial and medical team.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Understand and describe the diagnostic and care pathway for patients with BBS.
- Improve and accelerate the diagnosis of patients with BBS by implementing high-risk population screening and other projects.
- Reduce time to treatment for patients with BBS.
- Develop and monitor KPIs to assess progress in diagnosis and time to treatment.
- Advance the understanding of BBS epidemiology
- Foster collaboration with stakeholders across countries and the region to share knowledge and best practices.
- Postgraduate degree in a pharmaceutical, scientific, medical, or marketing/business administration field
- Experience of 5 years or more in a sales or marketing or medical affairs role in Specialty Care or Rare Diseases
- Demonstrate superior communication skills
- Track record of success in strategic planning and execution
- Strong organizational and planning skills with an attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - fluency in both local market language and spoken and written English
- In depth knowledge of specific regional/local healthcare systems, the evolving medical sector, reimbursement frameworks and industry trends.
- Accountability and personal responsibility in regulatory compliance
- Fluency in English
