For our expanding international operations, Rhythm Pharmaceuticals is looking for a highly motivated candidate for the role of Senior Accountant.
The Senior Accountant will be part of our Accounting and Controlling team and support the International Controller with financial accounting for the international subsidiaries, as well as support to the corporate finance team on accounting matters.
The role will be based in the Netherlands in our Amsterdam office and reports directly to the International Controller. The candidate should have significant knowledge and expertise in working in an international setting, in a high growth environment.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Execution of all transactional accounting activities for Rhythm’s International subsidiaries.
- Review journal entries
- Book revenue
- Internal controls preparer - International entities
- Perform account reconciliations
- Analyze financial reports
- Other finance tasks, as required
- Assist International Controller with oversight of outsourced accounting services group.
- Support finance improvement projects.
- Support the International Controller in the statutory accounting compliance.
- Develop and optimize processes in your area of expertise.
- Together with the Corporate Controller and the International Controller maintain and improve a strong internal control environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- University degree in accounting or similar.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting in an international environment.
- Experience with pharmaceutical/ biotech industry preferred.
- Proven experience working with outside service providers.
- Able to speak different European languages (on top of English). Preferred German, French or Italian.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and multi-task efficiently.
- Support international growth projects from a finance perspective.
- Strong analytical skills and be able to proactively propose process improvements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with high level of ethics and integrity.
- Hands-on mentality.
