Opportunity Overview
Rhythm Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly motivated and strategic leader for the Director, International Operations position. In this critical role, you will serve as a trusted partner and advisor to the Head of International Operations, driving business excellence, cross-functional alignment, and strategic initiatives across international markets. You will lead efforts to enhance operational efficiency, support market expansion, and oversee key business processes, ensuring the seamless execution of Rhythm’s global strategy.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Lead strategic planning efforts, defining objectives, tracking performance metrics, and reporting insights to senior leadership.
  • Provide advisory insights to leadership, ensuring informed decision-making based on data-driven analysis and business intelligence.
  • Coordinate patient’s identification activities for both commercial indications and clinical activities across the International region, share best practices across markets, lead cross-country efforts, and develop the appropriate reporting KPIs & tools
  • Support the management of local alliances, coordinating steering committees, joint meetings, and cross-functional interactions to optimize partnerships and business development jointly with the Director of New Markets & Alliances.
  • Identify potential risks in international operations and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth execution of business priorities.
  • Facilitate collaboration between commercial, medical, regulatory, finance, and supply chain teams to streamline operations and enhance international strategy execution.
  • Manage special projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring timely and successful completion in alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine operational strategies based on evolving business needs and market dynamics.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Science, or a related field
  • 10+ years’ experience in operations, strategy, consulting, or related roles within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong business acumen with proven expertise in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects in a global environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills, with proficiency in business intelligence tools.
  • Ability to develop exceptional relationships, influence without authority, and thrive in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise in market expansion, operational frameworks, and alliance management within international markets.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English
This role can be based in Amsterdam, Paris, or London.
